WHAT IS PHOENIX?

PHOENIX is the core of the next generation of film recorders. Designed with RISC-Based Parallel Multi-Processing technology, PHOENIX is the Hardware Engine that exceeds the performance of any CRT film recorder in speed and image quality. PHOENIX allows a film recorder to image an RGB 16K file to 8x10 in under 9 minutes plus calibration time - to 4x5 in under 4 minutes. Check our specifications page for blazing fast imaging times with other film sizes. Due to our exclusive algorithm, your calibration time will be around 10 seconds, and is not likely to exceed 30 seconds in the worst of cases, such as module swaps. Plus, this algorithm provides significantly better exposure control ensuring greater consistency and repeatability in the exposure of your films. Our 8K version offers the same enormous benefits as the 16K, at a lower price.

WHAT ELSE DOES IT DO?

Say goodbye to DAC lines. The PHOENIX Engine has been specifically designed to eliminate this common and irritating problem which plagues the "best" of film recorders. We have added other new features and commands that improve the performance and ease of use of your new unit, as well as a new front panel which includes a 4x20 LCD display that provides an intuitive and interactive environment for the setup and operation of the unit. The PHOENIX is fully MAC and PC compatible on GPIB and has the ability to use just about any device specific software driver available. We added downloadable brightness and contrast tables to give you an extra degree of flexibility. Contrast and brightness are also adjustable directly from the front panel. Your new unit will hold all operating parameters in a nonvolatile memory and reload them automatically, so start-ups and short power outages won't slow you down. We have also added the capability for separate LUTs for specific positive and negative film types. Changing from one module to another won't slow you down either because our calibration is so fast. We have worked in our unique Automatic Self Pacing, so banding is a thing of the past.

HOW DO I GET IT?

We will need your working film recorder, your module, a test image hard copy and the test image file. Your film recorder will be extensively tested before and after the new Engine is installed. Standard turnaround time for installation of the PHOENIX engine is five working days.

WHO ELSE HAS IT?

Field references will be furnished on request.

STILL NOT CONVINCED?

We will shoot samples from your own files for you to examine. Our image quality will astound you, guaranteed.
