The focus of advanced and cutting edge technology is usually not on convenient or practical electronic equipment for a regular user using the equipment for everyday use. One area of cutting edge technology that has often failed in this area is the personal robot market, where many prototype personal robots have been invented and produced, but few have actually been proven to be useful. One that has been useful is the robotic vacuum, which acts as a personal servant, cleaning the carpets and floors of the house without any assistance from a human operator. (more…)
